Position Overview

This Intern role will support the Human Resources team and will get the opportunity for some hands-on experience within the field of Human Resources. at a fast-paced real estate company. Students will have the opportunity to gain hands on experience in a wide range of matters, throughout the work term, students will participate in a number of exciting events, including department information sessions, coffee chats with senior leaders, company-wide culture events, quarterly Town Halls, and skill-building workshops.

During this program, you will:

  • Work and communicate with people across all levels of the organization, while expanding your business network
  • Perform amongst a variety of teams and develop new skill sets and sources of knowledge
  • Learn and grow as you demonstrate leadership and make connections across our group of companies

The Intern role will start on May 15th to August 25th.

Responsibilities:

You will have the opportunity to work on a number of diverse projects. Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the HR team with colleague inquiries as it applies to HR programs, policies, and procedures
  • Conducting the full cycle onboarding process and supporting with any questions from new hires or managers
  • Supporting with drafting and processing change letters (promotions, compensation changes, transfers, etc.) and updating Workday (HR Information System) accordingly
  • Generating and analyzing various colleague reports (new hires, compensation changes, job changes, etc.) to support the HR team as required
  • Supporting with the execution of our co-op student program
  • Ensuring data accuracy and integrity in Workday, the company intranet, and HR shared drive
  • Supporting with ongoing HR projects and initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Relevant undergraduate program and area of interest
  • Exceptional commitment to customer service and the ability to nurture positive customer relationships
  • Strong integrity, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and manage highly sensitive information
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized, strong analytical skills, and superior attention to detail
  • Highly motivated and resourceful self-starter
