Description
Are you a driven, resourceful mid to senior level HR Generalist available to step in to help out with a growing organization? Our client, in the food, beverage and consumer packed goods industry, located in Vaughan, is seeking a Part Time Human Resources Generalist (3 days per week) who can work at the macro level as well as handle day to day administrative tasks mainly in the areas of Payroll, WSIB & Workforce Scheduling. Under excellent leadership you will be a valued member of the team providing temporary support at first however based on projected growth there may be potential to become a long-term member of the HR team. 

You will have an opportunity to Oversee the following:
  • Payroll: Oversee the payroll process using Ceridian - requires data validation from download from the system and some manipulation (night shift premiums or additional over-time hours). Working with supervisors to correct time entry errors, working with salaried payroll overrides and manual updates where required
  • WSIB: Running with all responsibilities related to the WSIB process
  • Labour scheduling: Working mainly with production scheduling and operations to ensure correct number of temporary labour is available from agency and handling any issues that arise with agency.
  • May assist with conversions from temporary resources to permanent resources including offer letters, onboarding.
Ideally you will have the following:
  • University Degree and Post-Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management
  • Working towards or completion of CHRP or CHRL Designation
  • 5-10 years experience as an HR Specialist or HR Business Partner/Consultant with experience with payroll, WSIB & scheduling
  • Some regulatory/legal knowledge considered an asset
  • Breadth of knowledge to work at a macro level but also requires patience and attention to detail for the more administrative responsibilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
  • Strong problem solving and research skills
  • Ability to come in and 'hit the ground running'
