Description

Digital Marketing Manager - 12 month contract

This role is ideal for a Marketing professional with proven experience in email marketing, lead generation, search engine marketing and developing high-impact messaging and content that engages IT decision makers. You will be responsible for developing the marketing strategy, identifying tactics and required budgets and managing execution using a combination of in-house resources, agencies and freelancers. Proven experience aligning content and messaging to the buyer’s journey and exceptional writing and editing skills are essential!

Role requirements

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has deep expertise aligning content marketing to the buyer’s journey, and is able to provide great examples of this knowledge in action
  • Has proven experience in SEO/SEM, social and email marketing
  • Is intimately familiar with lead generation and lead nurturing processes and is familiar with marketing automation platforms like Eloqua, Marketo or HubSpot
  • Exceptional writing and copy-editing skills with a flair for creative messaging that breaks through the noise
  • Understands the B2B technology landscape and has a command of critical trends such as cloud computing
  • Exceptionally well organized and a consummate project manager who keeps multiple balls in their air while never missing a deadline.
  • Experience managing agencies and third-party contributors and holding them to account.
  • Thrives in a team environment and takes their work seriously, but not necessarily themselves!

 

Role requirements:

Marketing acumen: Subject matter expertise with email, direct, social and content-based marketing strategies and tactics

Creative brief: Defining the scope of work, requirements, budget and success measures for each campaign component

Testing: Developing frameworks for email, digital advertising and landing page testing to maximize performance

Editorial and Writing: Creation of value added marketing content, including ebooks, event invitations, emails, landing pages, tweets, etc.

Buyer personas: Creation of buyer personas and content that delivers on what they want and need

Performance reporting: Program performance reporting and run post-mortems to facilitate learning and improvement

As our ideal candidate, you’ll also have:

  • 5+ years’ experience in an agency or client-side marketing department
  • Experience managing campaigns with significant budgets
  • Solid SEO/SEM skills – with several adword/remarketing case studies to your name
  • Personally developed and executed integrated marketing campaigns with a strong social media component that delivered measurable leads to sales
  • Hands-on experience writing and editing across a range of formats – from long-form journalism and white papers to blog posts, email, social shares, etc.
  • Experience managing an external bench of writing and design resources
  • Knowledge or experience within the IT industry is a definite nice to have
