Job Summary

The primary responsibility is to structure and shape the finance & accounting function to ensure smooth operations on financial reporting, budgeting, public filings, etc. As part of the Senior Executive team, the CFO will report to CEO and contribute to the Company’s success with critical business thinking, team building and goal-oriented attributes.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive reporting and audit for a public organization
  • Evolve, implement and supervise the financial reporting, budgeting, public filings as well as model business performance, and provide insightful analysis and projections
  • Ability to build and lead a team, providing quality and consistent support in a high growth environment
  • Ensure Bank and Association guidelines are followed, and applicable regulations compliant.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to ensure best practices in a rapid growing environment.
  • Developing business strategy, support sales efforts and address legal matters


Challenges:

The CFO must ensure, in a dynamic environment, the finance & accounting fundamentals are carried out in a timely fashion in order to compliant with regulations and public filings requirements. The incumbent must create and maintain proper finance and accounting procedures and processes to accommodate changes in the fast growing and moving environment.


Decision Making Authority & Working Relationship:

The CFO reports to CEO and the Senior Executive team on all administrative matters, organizational changes and responses to regulatory agencies.

The incumbent will work with the Senior Executive team to respond to the Board of Directors on their inquiries, business decisions.
 

Who Are You?

The position requires a leader with sound knowledge of business acumen and excellent communication skills.

  • 5+ Years of work experience in a leadership role in finance and accounting in a fast-moving environment;
  • Bachelor’s degree & CPA designation are required; Advanced degree and other sounding financial designations are a plus;
  • Experience dealing with regulators, investment community and research analyst is highly desired;
  • A forward thinker with experience of involving in critical business decision making;
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organization
  • Proven process improvement and change management experience
  • Manages ambiguity and adapts to and drives change
  • Previous experience in a SaaS environment an asset
