Have a personal interest in Health & Fitness? Are you a Talent Acquisition Coordinator or Field Recruiter with full cycle recruitment responsibilities? We have an exciting opportunity for a strong Field Recruiter to work with a new and growing high end Fitness Centre. We are hiring for either the Burlington, Ontario or Richmond Hill, Ontario locations. Led by a fantastic and inspirational HR leader, you will be brought in to help put together recruitment strategies to attract and hire top talent and lead full cycle recruitment efforts for the business. You will hire Personal Trainers, Group Fitness Instructors, Sales Coordinators, Customer Service & Custodians for several locations within Ontario. This opportunity will be a 6-12 month contract to start (3 months with our client and then this individual will have an opportunity to support one of our other excellent clients as a Corporate Recruiter). As always, based on our Contract to Permanent model, we are looking to hire individuals to become full time permanent members of our HirePower team in the future.

A Day in the Life of a Talent Acquisition Specialist:

  • Act as Talent Acquisition Advisor while delivering effective and innovative talent acquisition strategies (including cold calling, direct sourcing, targeted advertising, universities and professional associations, employee referrals, social media channels and niche job boards), to attract and hire top talent.
  • Conducts thorough market research, company profiling, mapping and identifying candidates for both candidate pipelines and critical roles at mid to senior levels. Maintains a talent community and stays in active contact with pipelined candidates.
  • Support Business Leaders and HR Business Partners in all areas of the talent acquisition process: intake meetings, preparation of postings, sourcing/screening/interviewing and reference checks.
  • Work in a fun and collaborative team and support strategic HR and Talent Acquisition projects

You Will Have:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of full cycle recruitment experience, any industry welcome, however experience building multi-pronged recruitment strategies within Canada will be needed
  • Post-secondary education and working towards your CHRP or CHRL designation will be both an advantage and benefit.
  • Exceptional commitment to customer service with demonstrated ability to build relationships with colleagues at various levels.
  • Solid understanding of the national recruitment landscape and particular regional differences of attracting top talent.
  • Sound communication, influencing, innovation, project management and collaboration skills.
  • Strong sourcing skills and ability to do cold calling, head hunting and talent mapping is a must. Proficiency with PC applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and recruitment marketing tools, including social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook).
  • Prior experience working with an Applicant Tracking System (Workday, Kenexa, Taleo, NJoyn, etc).
  • Familiarity with using talent acquisition metrics to measure and report progress to client group(s).
  • Ability to be strategic and tactical in rolling out practical talent acquisition programs and initiatives that are aligned with overall organizational goals.
