This position will report directly to the Manager of Operations for Bayshore Medical Personnel and be based in Ottawa.

The Physician Healthcare Talent Acquisition Specialist, under the direction of the BMP (Bayshore Medical Personnel) Manager of Operations, will carry out proactive recruitment of physicians and health care professionals to meet the needs of the specific contracts held by Bayshore Medical Personnel. The Physician Healthcare Talent Acquisition Specialist will understand the recruitment needs of each customer within the BMP contracts and, in alignment with this, will develop and execute a recruitment strategy. This strategy will focus on proactively building a pipeline and acquiring top talent as needed in order to meet the ongoing need for high quality service to our clients in a very competitive market. The Healthcare Talent Acquisition Specialist’s goal will be to maintain a pool of credentialed and security cleared medical professionals. S/he will drive recruitment excellence in alignment with Bayshore’s values and culture with national and local business objectives.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with Bayshore Medical Personnel management team to develop a solid recruitment strategy in order to meet recruitment needs both proactively and on-going across all BMP contracts.
  • Act as a leader in recruitment and develop proactive and innovative strategies to attract and develop a pipeline of talented candidates for a variety of health care professional roles.
  • Identifies and sources targeted physicians using a variety of creative and effective recruitment methods
  • Represent and promote Bayshore’s brand and value proposition at external recruitment events in a positive and professional manner.
  • Build and maintain networks of potential candidates.
  • Interact closely with the HR Coordinator(s) to ensure new hire administration and orientation is completed in alignment with recruitment priorities.
  • Prioritize recruitment needs based on current and forecasted requisitions and difficulty-to-fill grading.
  • Thoroughly screen and credential candidates before recommending for hire/contract employment with BMP.
  • Ensure upload of all required documents to Bayshore Medical Personnel Applicant Tracking System
  • Extend and negotiate offers in alignment with BMP needs.
  • The individual must be flexible to travel within Canada to attend job fairs, meet, interview and hire candidates.
  • Report on recruitment volumes, successful hires, and barriers to hiring, and recommended sourcing strategies to acquire top talent.
  • Monitor retention of new hires and understand reasons for turnover in order to incorporate this into the recruitment strategy.
  • Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives in keeping with the company's Quality Management System.
  • Participate in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activities.
  • Adhere to Bayshore Policies and Procedures.
  • Participate in proactive health and safety activities while performing all duties.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client, corporate, contractor and employee information and discuss same only with appropriate Bayshore personnel.



QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 5 years of physician and healthcare recruitment experience.
  • University degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business or Industrial Relations combined with a CHRP designation is preferred.
  • Bilingual highly preferred.
  • Experienced in MS Office, HRIS, and various and applicant tracking systems.
  • Highly collaborative approach and have a strong sense of urgency.
  • Open minded, flexible and adaptable with sound judgment and decision making skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Solid organizational, multi-tasking and negotiation skills.
  • Self motivated, enjoys taking initiative, able to work independently and manage stress.
  • Confident, results-oriented and able to demonstrate leadership and team effectiveness with a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, compassion, integrity and ethics at all times.
  • Valid Driver's License.
