Description

Seeking a strong Senior Corporate Recruiter with expertise in hiring for highly niche roles in the Tech Industry including Researcher roles. Our client is based in downtown Toronto in the Mars District. Within a small start up environment, you will have the backing of a large multi-national organization and you will lead recruitment for highly niche roles to facilitate our client's growth in the AI (Artificial Intelligence) space. You have a passion for technology, are detail oriented, collaborative and have strong communication skills to allow you to partner effectively with a team of highly educated Senior Leaders. You will be required to travel to the U.S. for training and orientation. You will be based in Toronto however will report into the HR Team in the U.S.

A Day in the Life of a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist:
  • Act as Talent Acquisition Advisor to Senior Business Leaders while delivering effective and innovative talent acquisition strategies (including direct sourcing, targeted advertising, universities and professional associations, employee referrals, social media channels and niche job boards), to attract and hire top talent.
  • Conducts thorough market research, company profiling, mapping and identifying candidates for both candidate pipelines and critical roles at mid to senior levels. Maintains a talent community and stays in active contact with pipelined candidates.
  • Support Business Leaders and HR Business Partners in all areas of the talent acquisition process: intake meetings, preparation of postings, sourcing/screening/interviewing and reference checks.
  • Work in a fun and collaborative team and support strategic HR and Talent Acquisition projects

You Will Have:

  • Minimum of 8 years of Corporate Recruitment experience (Technical Recruitment experience in the Tech space required including experience hiring for Researchers considered a strong asset)
  • Post-secondary education and working towards your CHRP or CHRL designation will be both an advantage and benefit.
  • Exceptional commitment to customer service with demonstrated ability to build relationships with colleagues at various levels.
  • Solid understanding of the national recruitment landscape and particular regional differences of attracting top talent.
  • Sound communication, influencing, innovation, project management and collaboration skills.
