Omnia Media was recently acquired by Enthusiast Gaming and is positioned for explosive growth!  Enthusiast Gaming is building the world’s largest platform of communities for gamers and esports fans.  Already the largest gaming platform in North America and United Kingdom, the Company’s business is comprised of three main pillars:  Media, Entertainment and Esports.  Enthusiast Gaming ‘s digital media platform includes 100 gaming related websites and goo YouTube channels which collectively reach 160 million visitors monthly. 

Summary

Working closely with the Director of Finance to provide day-to-day accounting support geared towards assisting in the achievement of the finance departmental objectives and support throughout the organization.

  • Prepare Invoices/validate with sales team and send out to customers
  • Follow up on outstanding Accounts Receivables
  • Process all accounts payable transactions in system and reconcile vendor statements
  • Calculate commission for sales team
  • Process all Tipalti vendors and reconcile to vendor statements
  • Reconcile bank statements and 13-week cash forecast
  • Manage Fixed Assets Schedules
  • Actively participate in month end close off process
  • Analyze all Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Accounts
  • Preparation of month end Accrual journals
  • Preparation of month end Payroll journals
  • Determine reasons for departmental variances with actual and budget expenditure
  • Assist with annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting
  • Any other related duties as assigned by Supervisor or designate.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • CPA or CPA in progress
  • Big 4 or Mid-Tier CPA firm experience
  • Detail-oriented and strong analytical skills
  • Experience in financial statement preparation and general ledger accounting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with all levels including, but not limited to HQ/field personnel, senior management, and outside parties
  • Strong Proficiency in business related software: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • QuickBooks, Simple Accounting, NetSuite Accounting software experience desirable
  • Experience with QuickBooks and Adaptive Insights software will be considered an asset
