Toyota Financial Services (TFS) provides retail, leasing and wholesale financial services to Toyota and Lexusdealerships and customers across Canada.  TFS is a member of Toyota Financial Services Corporation (TFSC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corporation in Japan with the Canadian operation headquarters in Markham, Ontario.

Position Summary:

In this position, you will be responsible for inbound and outbound inquiries from customers to minimize delinquencies and losses to Toyota, Lexus and Subaru lease and finance accounts.  This is a permanent, full time position within the Customer Service department reporting to the Supervisor, Collections.

Primary Activities:

• Identify potential losses early and acts on them with a sense of urgency, while controlling repossessions
• Negotiate total losses
• Follow up on escalated and cancelled insurance accounts
• Recommend to Supervisor, the repossession for delinquent accounts when all methods for collection have been exhausted to minimize loss ratios and repossessions to meet objectives.
• Handle repossession disposal when appropriate maintaining delinquent accounts as per delinquency objectives
• Prepare and send all necessary paperwork and legal documentation to customer.
• Respond to customer requests with a Customer First approach
• Complete other departmental duties as required
• Maintain customer contact notes in the Host system in accordance with company standards.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of one year’s collection experience required
• Post-secondary education required, University degree preferred
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Bilingual – written and oral fluency in English and French
