We are seeking a Corporate Recruiter/Talent Acquisition Consultant to join our core team that is working at one of our Client sites in the KW/Cambridge/Woodstock area. This is a permanent on-site position.

Role Overview

  • Reporting to HirePower’s Recruiting Manager, this role is a hybrid role. It is a combination of end to end recruiting as well as partnering with the Client to find ways to use the plan, do, check, act methodology to optimize the recruiting process. This methodology will be applied to support enhancing the process so that it delivers the maximum number of quality hires per month and an outstanding candidate and hiring manager experience.
  • Skilled Trades hiring is critical to the success of the plant and at times requires a mass hiring strategy. 


What You’ll Be Doing 

  • Be the lead and touch point for Skilled Trades recruitment
  • Developing a deep understanding of the roles and challenges that skilled trades people hold and overcome and their critically to the plants
  • Handling all aspects of end-to-end recruiting with thoroughness and excellence
  • Developing solutions to address recruitment challenges and provide recruitment guidance to Hiring Managers
  • Identifying continuous improvement opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency, productivity and quality and enhance candidate experience and hiring manager satisfaction
  • At times, take on roles supporting other employment groups. 
  • Seeking full leverage of systems that are available to you
  • Supporting your team members as needed for the success of the overall team


You Will Have

  • Minimum of 4-6 years of full cycle recruitment experience including a minimum of 3 years of Corporate Recruitment experience is required; technical recruitment is a strong asset 
  • 2 years of experience sitting in on interviews with hiring managers to assist with behavioral based interviews and guiding them through the process is required
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for administrative work as it relates to the recruitment process 
  • Strong sense of urgency, strong responsiveness and the ability to build relationships with hiring managers and handle a heavy workload 
  • Post-secondary education and working towards your CHRP or CHRL designation will be both an advantage and benefit
  • Exceptional commitment to the customer with demonstrated ability to provide exceptional client service
  • Solid understanding of the national recruitment landscape and particular regional differences of attracting top talent
  • Sound communication, influencing, innovation, project management and collaboration skills.
