Our client, First Foundations Children's Academy (FFCA), is a private Jewish preschool that strives to introduce preschool aged children to the social intricacies of the learning environment. Our programs focus on the social and emotional development of the early learner, ages 18 months to 5 years old . Our programming goals include self help, effective communication, child directed and inquiry based learning with a focus on loose parts and open ended activities. We promote outdoor play and connectivity with nature and are looking for dynamic and energetic educators to join us. We provide a fun working environment and are looking for staff who want to be part of our growth and development.

What you will be doing:
In this role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the School Director in a fast paced preschool environment. This position will work from 2 locations; one in North York/Cedarvale, the second in Thornhill/Vaughan. The Cedarvale will be the primary base, but you will be working from both locations.

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Provide administrative support to School Director, maintain organization of critical documents, create ad hoc reports
  • Manage Director's calendar including organization of schedule, booking school tours, events, staff meetings, etc.
  • Coordinate administrative components of business development for future FFCA locations
  • Manage Supply Teacher list and fill absent positions with supply teachers
  • Work with Supervisors, Bookkeeper, Facilities Maintenance and Recruitment Company, ensuring reports, payments and deliverables are met
  • Be a trusted resource for parents and teachers with their questions and needs.

  • Post-secondary education
  • Relevant demonstrated experience in a dynamic, growing business environment 
  • A track record of high calibre administrative support
  • Access to a vehicle is required
