Description

Summary:

 

Responsible for overall management of a select portfolio of F&I products offered through Sym-Tech distribution channels.

 

Works with stakeholders from Sales, Finance, Claims, Marketing and IT to bring new automotive insurance and warranty products to market and to manage existing products to support achievement of desired revenue, profitability and penetration objectives.

 


Responsibilities:

 

  • Identifies F&I Trends in the automotive and related industries and works with management on Sym-Tech’s response.
  • Conducts competitive analysis processes to monitor key independent and OEM activities.
  • Drives Product Development to deliver products that create compelling dealer and customer benefits, retail penetration, dealer and Sym-Tech profitability.
  • Works closely with key internal and external stakeholders to assess the on-going health of all products. Recommends future product changes/enhancements.
  • Develops and implements the go-to-market product plan to support launches and enhancements.
  • Engages with Field (and Dealers) to get regular and transparent feedback.
  • Acts as a resource for product and competitive related inquiries from field and internal stakeholders.
  • Assists with product training for internal and dealer training sessions.

 

 

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in automotive and/or automotive financial services and/or automotive insurance or warranty company
  • Insurance/Warranty or related Product Development and Management Experience

Knowledge / Competencies:

  • Strong analytical skills including financial analysis, competitive analysis and product pricing
  • Product development skills – working with multiple stakeholders in developing, launching and managing
  • Proficient computer skills, including all Microsoft Office applications, Excel in particular
  • Strong presentation skills - capable of communicating effectively to senior management, internal team members, external vendors, industry and dealer audiences
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, participating in a team environment
  • English Fluency/French a definite asset
  • Travel Requirements ~ 10-20%

Education:

  • Undergraduate Degree required
