The work you’ll do

You will help build the people strategy that will help the business meet its strategic objectives as it enters the era of Manufacturing 4.0. In this leadership role with two direct reports, you will be responsible for end-to-end Human Resources service delivery for the corporate group located in Mississauga Ontario (Technology, Finance, IT, HR, Purchasing, Materials, R&D).

 

Highlights of your new role

  • Lead the delivery, execution of human resources strategies and services for the Corporate Group including Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Employee Relations, Succession Planning, Employee Engagement, Workforce Planning, Organizational Development, Change Management, Health & Safety and Data Management/analytics.
  • Lead Talent Acquisition efforts including senior leader recruitment and the build of a Centre of Excellence; drive continuous improvement in the way that candidates are attracted, recruited and selected so the company is able to continuously draw from world-class talent in the domains of engineering, finance, HR, purchasing, materials and R&D
  • In partnership with the Business leadership, and the Talent & Organizational Development Manager deliver talent management strategies that are integrated, inclusive and innovative to support this client group with its short, mid and long-term needs
  • Lead the client group through their people strategy, analysis and development to coordinate resources and make important decisions
  • Understand and analyze deep issues of employee engagement and work on improving the employee experience
  • Provide coaching to our Business leaders offering feedback and advice on employee and organizational issues
  • Act as a catalyst/change agent by implementing recommendations that improve efficiency and operations

 

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree coupled with previous experience leading HR in corporate areas; experience in a manufacturing or advanced technology environment
  • Broad understanding of all HR disciplines including best-in-class HR programs and practices
  • In addition, possess the knowledge and proven expertise with the following:
    • Talent acquisition strategy and execution including senior leadership recruitment
    • Talent development strategies and calibration sessions
    • Working in a matrix global organization
    • Coaching and mentoring at all levels
    • Partnering with management to understand needs and develop solutions
    • Employment legislation and strategic human resources concepts
    • Presenting and facilitating
