Devhaus is hiring a Graphic Designer for a contract position working 20-30 hours per week. This is a remote role.

Devhaus is seeking a talented Graphic Designer to contribute to our organization’s continued growth and enhance the user experience through expertise in multimedia design including digital, social and print. The Graphic Designer will provide design and development expertise and consultation on design projects from beginning to end, ranging from digital/social content to in-app communication pieces. Marketing collateral includes but is not limited to email campaign templates and mock-ups, unique landing pages, static and HTML5 web banners, interactive PDF’s and social media images.  We are looking for someone with a strong creative intuition, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conceptualize and execute our visual strategy in various formats, including social, digital and print, including but not limited to:
-Photography and video development and editing
-Graphic design and layout
-Animation
-Web Design
  • Collaborate with product designers to re-imagine their blueprints, making them visually compelling and clear to interpret, while maintaining brand integrity across all design initiatives.
  • Develop storyboards, mock-ups and prototypes to effectively communicate and recommend design ideas.
  • Stay abreast of professional trends:  graphic design, web design, social media, mobile apps etc.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Graphic Design, Advertising or related field
  • Naturally creative with an artistic background
  • Proficiency in standard design software packages (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, and InDesign CS, Adobe Creative Suite: Animate CSS, HTML5, After Effects. and Google Suite).
  • Understanding of website responsiveness for mobile and desktop users
  • Knowledge of JavaScript and HTML skills
  • Photography and/or videography + video editing experience
  • Experience with motion graphics, including animation and gifs
  • Significant knowledge of mobile design standards
  • Must be able to provide a visual portfolio of work samples demonstrating conceptual thinking, writing skills and creativity
  • Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in graphic design and visual branding
  • Ability to clearly communicate ideas and collaborate at all levels
  • Possess an understanding of the production design process
  • Ability to work effectively independently but also energized by collaboration
  • Confident, highly motivated, proactive, efficient, organized, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to learn new programs
