Apollo Health and Beauty Care Inc. is seeking to hire a Batcher.

POSITION SCOPE:

The Batcher is to produce quality batches ensuring all processes and SOP instructions are followed.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • Maintain clean and safe work environment
  • Insure the integrity of chemicals
  • Weigh and add chemicals as per batch requirements
  • Document all activities on batch sets
  • Create labels for all sample containers
  • Follow all Safety Procedures and wear required Personal Protective Equipment
  • Issue all bulk chemicals to maintain inventory accuracy and control
  • Follow all GMP and SOP procedures
  • Drive counterbalance, Raymond Reach and Dock Stocker lift trucks
  • Stage and check all preweighed chemicals in racks
  • Maintaining a clean work area
  • Other duties as required to assist departmental requirements
  • Prepare for customer and third party audits
  • Provide chemicals as required for R&D
  • Overtime as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years’ experience with a High School Diploma or equivalency or 2-3 years’ experience with a Post-Secondary Education required; Knowledge and Understanding of WHMIS; Valid Lift truck License

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS/CONTACTS: some access to confidential or sensitive information; some internal interactions and/or some minor external interactions; purpose of internal/external contacts is not related to complex matters; no selling, negotiating, consulting, teaching/instructing, or advising;  average level of written and verbal communication skills required for successful job performance

PROBLEM SOLVING/JUDGMENT: position is closely monitored and decisions follow prescribed guidelines; some analysis required; occasionally makes recommendations or referrals; responsible for solving simple to moderate technical problems

MENTAL EFFORT: requires moderate levels of concentration and/or attentiveness; moderate duration and/or intensity of efforts; requires moderate levels of thinking, watching, listening, verifying, checking numbers, creating or designing
