Description

***This role is a full time, permanent opportunity which will be remote through covid and part-time in the office after that.***

The Project Manager, Human Resources, under the direction of the National Director, Human Resources will support the achievement of departmental/company objectives by leading the department’s project management function including the development, implementation and management of departmental, cross-functional and company-wide projects and initiatives led by Human Resources.

  • Actively manages the entire lifecycle of multiple projects (project plan development/monitoring, project kick-off, communication, invoicing, business case, scheduling, risk mitigation, change management, reporting).
  • Provides regular project updates to internal and external stakeholders ensuring alignment of deliverables, expectations, risks and timelines.
  • Proactively secures, organizes and manages internal and external resources needed and provides direction on work plans/deliverables, quality controls and governance structures to enable project success.
  • Identifies, documents, reports and actively manages project risks - timelines, quality, cost. Recommends mitigation strategies to reduce or eliminate project risks.
  • Offers a high standard of client service and professionalism as a primary point of contact for information, updates, delivery, issue resolution and tracking. Ensures collaborative decision making and positive working relationships are encouraged and fostered within all groups.
  • Supports the development of project materials and documents (i.e., proposals, presentations, letters of engagement, invoicing and project reports) and maintains the appropriate document repository system for easy reference, quality management and version control.
  • Provides timely and professional response to project requests/inquiries, coordination of meetings, schedules and action items. Leads project meetings including all agenda items, pre-work, action items and risk logs. Ensures appropriate follow-up and updates as required.
  • Utilize industry project management best practices, techniques, methodologies and standards throughout entire project execution
  • Measures and reports on project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Participate in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activities.
  • Adhere to Bayshore Policies and Procedures.
  • Participates in proactive Health & Safety activities while performing all duties. Is responsible to notify immediate Supervisor of any Health & Safety risks or concerns. Responsible for completing Accident Reports for all direct reports who injure themselves on the job, within 24 hours of the incident.
  • Maintains confidentiality of client and corporate information and discusses same only with appropriate Bayshore personnel.
  • Completes other tasks as requested/required.
Reporting Relationship

The Project Manager reports directly to the National Director, Home Health Operations.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a bachelor’s degree and a PMP designation or a Master’s degree (MHA, MBA) or equivalent with relevant experience. Lean Six Sigma or other TQM certifications would be considered assets.
  • A minimum of 5 years project management experience or transferable management experience in a complex multi-site, distributed network environment.
  • Must demonstrate a successful track record in strategic planning, project management, financial analysis, change management quality assurance and continuous improvement.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams and inspire individuals towards continuous improvement, change management and the drive to achieve excellence.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary, cross-functional teams; ability to meet deadlines; demonstrated track record of high productivity, confidence and sound judgment in dealing with clients and staff; requires frequent travel; strong commitment to continual learning.
