Description
Do you have a passion for travel, live in the Greater Toronto Area and have a minimum of two years experience as a Travel Reservations Agent or similar role in the travel industry? Our client, a small but fast growing travel company, is hiring a new member to their team due to an increase in business. They organize fun travel-themed events for there members here in Canada, and they put together group travel programs based on their members’ interests. You’ll be joining their team at a critical time as they are in the midst of their autumn membership drive in which they expect to double or triple their membership! You will be a part of their all-important member services team - as you’ll be talking with their members, primarily taking bookings for their programs, but also taking questions and generally just making their members feel good!

What You'll Do:
You will have the opportunity to oversee the tour reservation/booking process as well as to source out new leads and convert them to our clients Members.
- Receive and process member’s inquiries from phone and email. Take reservations for tours and counsel members about their tour
- Process the reservations/payments according to our clients processes and seek to constantly improve and streamline those processes
- Developing an understanding for the psychographic and demographic profile of our members in conjunction with the Community Manager
- On the basis of that understanding, identify the behavioural traits and lifestyle activities of target members to determine where to find them
- Learning and deploying a communication practice that captures the essence of our client.
- In coordination with the management team, develop a strategy to initiate contact with target members and explain them the benefits of our client. Such strategies may include:
- Finding and penetrating groups / associations / clubs where target members are active
- Creating speaking events for the founder representative. Finding local ‘pied pipers’ who can invite other potential members
- Assessing potential members for their likelihood of being ‘active’ (ie. travelling members) and notating appropriately in the CRM
- Assist the Community Manager in assessing potential candidates and onboarding them into the Member Services team

What You'll Need:
- Well-travelled (outside North America), ambitious, go-getter looking to be an integral part of a dynamic, growing team
- Passionate about travel and able to speak about food, art, culture, history.
- Exquisite people/client engagement skills & attention to detail
- TICO certification, CRM software experience and Airline reservation systems experience (ie. Sabre) all considered an asset
- Proficiency with standard office software (Google Suite)
- Must be mobile and able to drive to occasional meetings (typically in Markham) or to events if required and must be willing to occasionally participate in events occurring outside business events
