Position Overview

The Intern will support the Technical Operations, Procurement & Capital Projects team and will get the opportunity for some hands-on experience within the field of Technical Operations, Procurement, & Capital Projects at a fast-paced real estate company. Students will have the opportunity to gain hands on experience in a wide range of matters, throughout the work term, students will participate in several exciting events, including department information sessions, coffee chats with senior leaders, company-wide culture events, quarterly Town Halls, and skill-building workshops.
 

The Intern role will start on May 15th to August 25th.

Responsibilities:

You will have the opportunity to work on several diverse projects. Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

 
  • Supporting the Tech OPS team with colleague inquiries as it applies to programs, policies, and project coordination.
  • Assist with the preparation and updating of weekly project trackers, project documentation, and meeting minutes with consultants & project stakeholders.
  • Supporting management of project startup documents, vendor setups, and contractual requirements.
  • Respond to internal inquiries on project documentation, status, invoicing, etc.
  • File management/tracking of various assessment reports (roof reports, paving, building condition, parking garage, etc.)
  • Supporting with the execution of the Tech OPS team’s 2023 capital projects/initiatives.
  • Obtaining/reviewing internal databases for information and documents – as requested.
  • To assist in duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Candidate of Degree/Diploma in (civil engineering, construction management, project management, and operations management)
  • Exceptional commitment to customer service and the ability to nurture positive client/customer relationships
  • Strong integrity, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and manage highly sensitive information
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized, strong analytical skills, and superior attention to detail
  • Highly motivated and resourceful self-starter
