Position Overview

The Intern will support the Legal team and will be provided with practical exposure to the legal environment in the context of a fast-paced real estate company. Students will have the opportunity to gain hands on experience in a wide range of matters including real estate transactions, commercial contract negotiation and drafting, litigation management and/or management of compliance issues.

The Intern role will start on May 15th to August 25th.

During this program, you will:

  • Work and communicate with people across all levels of the organization, while expanding your business network
  • Perform amongst a variety of teams and develop new skillsets and sources of knowledge
  • Learn and grow as you demonstrate leadership and make connections across our group of companies

Responsibilities:

  • Commercial contract negotiations and drafting
  • Exposure to lease negotiations and drafting
  • Assist with running and overseeing real estate transactions
  • Conduct legal research
  • Review existing signed documentation and provide legal analysis on interpretation or effect

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled as a law student at an accredited Canadian Law School
  • Proof of good academic performance
  • Strong time management skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively manage several projects simultaneously
  • Willingness to learn
  • Interest in the commercial real estate industry
