Description

Our client is looking for a full-time Bulk Delivery Driver, to safely deliver and unload products to their customers in the Atlantic Region.

 

They are looking for an experienced and customer orientated driver with a clear driving abstract who is interested in a role that includes both local and out of town deliveries.

 

Accountabilities:

  • Accountable for managing everything that goes on and off your delivery truck, to ensure seamless and efficient deliveries.
  • Distribute and unload bulk products to customers via your daily route plan, this includes local and out of town deliveries.
  • Organize and plan daily deliveries and adjust the plan throughout the day as needed
  • Constantly strive to maintain a safe working environment
  • Complete all required paperwork with accuracy and efficiency
  • Collaborate with local sales team and with management to ensure continued customer excellence

  • Must be in good physical condition to meet the physical demands of the job
  • Ability to learn and acquire key skills required in this role
  • Ability to travel out of town and do multiple day deliveries, along with the ability to work overtime as needed to meet operational demands
  • Ability to operate in a fast paced work environment and adapt to the evolving needs of our customers and business demands
  • Exceptional communication, problem solving and customer service skills
  • Self-motivated individual that is able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to own the job and take pride in their work
  • Detail orientated with the ability to effectively plan and prioritize their work
  • Ability to understand and follow all work instructions and standard operating procedures


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Class 1 License with professional driving experience, bulk delivery experience would be an asset
  • Clear Driving abstract
  • High school education or GED equivalency
  • Comprehensive geographical knowledge of the Atlantic Region
  • Good reading comprehension, writing and mathematical skills
  • Must have, or be able to acquire, the skills required to successfully demonstrate basic PC skills and a proficiency in using technology
  • Must have or be able to acquire the skills required to successfully demonstrate proficiency in relevant regulatory training and certifications, such as but not limited to, WHMIS and the Canadian Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG)

 

Working Conditions:

  • Professional and well maintained equipment
  • Long distance and overnight driving during multiple day deliveries may be required as may overtime due to run schedule, weather, or work volume.
  • All required Personal Protective Equipment must be worn while performing tasks
