Overview:

 

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, this individual will have an immediate opportunity to initiate and drive dynamic talent attraction strategies and initiatives. The successful candidate will partner with HR Business Partners and Business Leaders to identify hiring needs, recommend recruitment strategies, and actively source talent to meet business unit hiring commitments.

 

Accountabilities

  • Act as talent advisor to Hiring Managers and HR Business Partners on recruitment processes, to determine job requirements, identify effective recruitment methods, and attract right fit candidates.
  • Identify creative and effective recruitment methods, including social media channels, targeted advertising, niche job boards, and networking to attract right fit candidates.
  • Maintain effective relationships with critical talent pipelines, internal business partners, and external vendors, while ensuring an engaging and memorable candidate experience.
  • Represent HirePower and champion our value proposition at key company, campus, and industry events.

 

Role Requirements:

  • 5 years of progressive end-to-end recruitment experience required, post-secondary education and CHRP designation are considered assets.
  • Experience/interest in recruiting for technical roles/engineering roles
  • Exceptional commitment to customer service with demonstrated ability to build relationships with colleagues at various levels of an organization
  • Strong propensity to source and select top talent, including leveraging multiple talent attraction channels
  • Solid understanding of the national recruitment landscape and particular regional differences of attracting top talent.
  • Strong communication, influencing, innovation, project management and collaboration skills.
  • Strong initiative including an ability to multi-task and learn on the fly in a deadline driven environment
  • Some HR experience would be an asset

 

Technical Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a large, fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Prior experience working with an Applicant Tracking System (Kenexa, Taleo, NJoyn, etc)
  • Ability to be tactical in rolling out practical recruitment programs and initiatives that are aligned with overall organizational goals.
  • Proficiency with PC applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), and web recruitment tools, including social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook)
  • Familiarity with using metrics to measure and report progress to client group(s).

 

The incumbent must be willing to work in Cambridge/Woodstock.
